Celebrity Weddings That Gave Us Major Wedding Goals
Anushka Sharma And Virat Kohli
To the wedding we had our eyes on since forever— Virushka Wedding
Virat and Anushka took their wedding vows and it didn’t seem less than any fairy tale giving us many swoon-worthy inspirations straight out of Pinterest. The silver screen beauty and the golden boy of cricket finally tied the knot in a hush-hush wedding on the morning of December 11 in Tuscany, Italy.
This wedding was different because of its exquisite venue, its pink themed and dim lighted ambience which all blended together so well making it look all dreamy. Honestly, we could not decide what was more dreamy, the blush pink and gold lehenga of the bride or the endless Italian roses in pink, magenta, yellow or the blushing groom looking at the bride with such awe & love. In a stunning outfit matching with the theme, with minimum makeup, Anushka was one radiant bride. Making her wedding entrance to the song Din Shagna Da from her own production, Phillauri, a little shy and excited, she seemed like a bride straight out of fairytale.
Sonam Kapoor And Anand Ahuja
This was a perfect example of Big Fat Indian wedding. Following the traditional theme of red, the décor stood for every Indian wedding. The Sangeet & Mehendi ceremonies were extravagant with the theme ‘The shades of ivory’ where Sonam Kapoor looked stunning in a white lehenga with that bridal glow.
Sonam wore a red lehenga and traditional jewelry which was worn by her mother and grandmother & the groom wore sherwani, sehra, and a traditional kirpan. This was a traditional Indian wedding not only because of the theme, apparels and the decor but also because of the Punjabi wedding ceremonies, where we got to see the whole family together, which is the best thing about Indian weddings. One such example being Sonam making her wedding entrance with a beautiful floral chandelier above her, held by her brothers, dancing and singing on a Punjabi dhol, while they walk.
All their wedding photographs had that ‘awwww’ worthy moments proving that the newlyweds simply couldn’t stop gushing over each other at any point during the celebrations.
Neha Dhupiya And Angad Bedi
Unlike the above two weddings, this one was a very private affair involving only the family members of the bride and the groom. In fact, there were no rumors of them dating, so it came like a bolt when these love birds tied the knot.
Neha was dressed in a blush pink lehenga with minimum yet beautiful jewelry whereas Angad wore a traditional kurta pajama with pink pagadi and pink dupatta making pink the official wedding theme color for the year 😉
The ceremonies were traditional, intimate, comfortable and gracious. And the best part being, two best friends celebrating their love for each other. After all, not all the weddings are like a fairytale, but, they surely are special and give us a reason to celebrate.
