According to the survey, both men and women, shared the same opinion when it came to meeting their potential partner unaccompanied. Unlike, the earlier days of setting up the meeting at the girl’s house, today’s prospective marriage seekers prefer the first meeting to be away from relatives and at a neutral venue. With regards to sharing the bill during the first meeting, women seem to be comfortable with the old tradition of men footing the bill with a viewpoint that men should pay; and a big percentage of men agree.
To decide whether the person in front of them is meant-to-be, men and women pay close attention to their partners during the first meeting. For women, chivalry still scores brownie points and women expect their men to be chivalrous, open a door or pull out a chair. Men, on the other hand, notice the kind of food women order and the amount they munch through as it’s indicative of a woman’s fitness habits.
The poll results reflect the mindset of today’s youth and how the first meeting decides whether or not they would like to take it forward. What say?
