Be extremely careful about what you eat a few months prior your wedding or you’ll have serious trouble getting into your wedding outfit. Make every bite count with nutrient dense foods. Fill yourself with large portions of salad, fruits and juices as much as possible.
Drinks loads of water. Consume at least 3 litres of water a day and you’ll soon notice the difference in your complexion. Coconut water is a good option too. Also, try and reduce your sodium intake as much as possible.
Pamper yourself by going for a full body massage that includes a head massage on a weekly basis. If you have the budget, you could look for bridal packages at a couples of spa’s. Also, get a facial done fortnightly and make sure your last facial is done at least a week before the wedding.
Minus all the unhealthy stuff from your daily diet. Skip calorie-laden stuff and other fried foods even though the temptation to dig into comfort food will rise with every wedding related crisis. In case you are really tempted to binge dessert, stick to a sorbet or fruity custard. Opt for light and nutritious meals.
At least 30 minutes of physical activity every day is a must if you want to be in shape. If you do not like hitting the gym, just brisk walk for at least half an hour a day. It takes hard work but the commitment pays off, trust us!
When it comes to skin care, you obviously know the routine – cleansing, toning and moisturising. If you’ve never taken this skin care basics seriously, it’s time to religiously follow it every morning and night a few months prior your wedding. And make sure you invest in a good skincare range. If needed, consult a dermatologist.
Not to forget your make up and hairdo. You better know who’s going to do your make up and hairdo and what kind of make up should it be on this special day. Take a trial session a few weeks before your wedding day to make sure it goes smoothly and that it perfectly match your wedding dress.
We all want to look our best on our wedding day, as brides. But there’s a lot more to it than just great makeup, hair and dress. You need to be in a great mood, remember the camera will capture it. So, make sure you avoid getting into any kind of fights or do things that make you feel sad.
